These launch-stage terms govern use of the informational website and early-access forms. Marketplace terms will require legal review before paid Tasks launch.

Early-access status
Submitting a form does not create an account, employment relationship, independent-contractor engagement, confirmed Task, booking, payment obligation or guarantee of work.
Accurate and appropriate submissions
You agree to provide accurate information and not submit unlawful, misleading, abusive or unsafe requests. Do not submit sensitive identity or financial information through public website forms.
Independent platform
Electives is intended to operate as an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by any college or university.
Illustrative information
Sample Tasks, profiles, ratings, availability, earnings and payout figures are illustrative unless explicitly identified as live. Actual eligibility, price, fees and payout will be shown before a future transaction.
No safety guarantee
Identity or background screening may reduce uncertainty but cannot guarantee a person’s identity, qualifications, conduct or safety. Users remain responsible for reasonable judgment and compliance with applicable law.
Future marketplace agreement
Before paid Tasks launch, Locals and Student Workers will need to accept a separate agreement covering fees, cancellations, payments, payouts, disputes, acceptable Tasks, off-platform conduct and other marketplace rules.
