A safer Task starts before anyone arrives.

Before booking

• Both parties complete identity verification through a secure provider.
• Task scope, general location, timing, physical demands, tools and relevant hazards are disclosed in advance.
• Student Workers see gross pay, fees and exact expected net payout before applying.
• Locals see the complete price before funding.

During a Task

• Keep communication and material scope changes on-platform.
• Do not perform work that feels unsafe, illegal or materially different from the posted Task.
• For immediate danger, leave the situation and contact local emergency services first.
• Never exchange SSNs, banking credentials or copies of identity documents in chat.

Higher-risk categories

Babysitting, driving, household repairs, sports instruction and Tasks involving ladders, power tools, children, animals or heavy lifting require category-specific controls. Availability may be limited while those safeguards are being finalized.

Screening

Optional criminal or driving-record screening may be requested for eligible Tasks. Screening is time-limited, may not cover every jurisdiction or record, and is not a guarantee of safety or future behavior.
